Miure Duo 5: the new lead in speed
Miure proudly presents the result of more than a year of cooperative work by ASN and THEMAX companies - the Duo 5. It is the first device utilizing the innovative MRTP protocol with two radios. The transfer rates reached by the device makes the producer certain of one thing - Duo 5 is the successor of point-to-point data transmission solutions based on the WiFi technology.
Duo 5 represents a new quality in the field of wireless 5GHz point-to-point transmission. Owing to the MRTP protocol and the usage of two independent radio transmission channels simultaneously allows reaching the physical limits of the technology used.
Innovative approach to a well known problem gave results in the form of the world speed record amongs similar deivces on the market: 50Mbps of effective radio throughput on a 20MHz channel width using 54Mbps physical layer bit-rate. The problem of performance loss with the increase of distance has been eliminated, along with the transmission speed loss in TCP/IP protocol transmissions, compared with the UDP protocol. The device can also run in standard Half-Duplex mode, reaching Fast Ethernet speeds.
In the nearest future, the producer plans releasing an update allowing the device to work with bigger channel widths - meaning, with speeds up to 100Mbps Full-Duplex.
